04: Grow Your Business podcast from WebProjectUK! Broadcasting directly from the digital powerhouse city of Manchester. Today I am going to share with you why I think Pay Per Click Marketing Is The Best Way To Grow Your Business in 2018
Welcome to the fourth episode of Grow Your Business podcast brought to you by Manchester based WebProjectUK.com.
Thank you so much for taking time to listen to this podcast! I am honoured.
Today I want to share with you my reasons to why I believe Pay Per Click Marketing is the currently the best method to grow your business in 2018.
As always my marketing tips work for on online and offline businesses.
You could be a owner of a physical shop in Didsbury selling chocolates and are looking to attract more online sales or even more footfall. Online marketing works for almost any type of business.
Let’s dive into it.
I have always been a fan of Pay Per Click advertising because it gives me full control of my adverts and keywords I can use to attract new clients.
Most of you listening to this podcast would have ventured into the world of search engine optimisation. Some of you would have had some success, while some of you would have failed.
Even if you have had success in ranking well for certain keywords in the past, this might not be the case today. I say this because Google’s ranking algorithm is changing at lighting speed. The competition is getting tougher and the results are becoming very unpredictable.
Why is this the case?
I can’t go into all the details but let me cover some of the major ones. Google has always been very good at providing the results we want. Therefore, it’s no surprise to see Google adapting to the current technology developments.
In just the last 12 months we have seen huge developments in fields of Artificial Intelligence, Voice Search and how we use our mobiles. Therefore, Google is trying to combine all the new developments into it’s search results in order to provide us with the desired results.
But like with anything under development the results will be unpredictable and will take time for us to understand Google’s new way of thinking.
So is SEO Dead?
Personally I don’t think SEO is dead. However, for 2018 I think you should prioritise Paid Marketing over Search Engine Optimisation.
I truly believe that if done correctly your business will have better success this year.
If you have never done pay per click advertising let me give you a quick introduction
Pay Per Click advertising was originally made famous by Google’s Adwords back in early 2000’s. As the name suggests you pay when someone clicks on your link. However, Pay Per Click advertising has come a long over the last few years.
No longer do we just have to focus on keywords but other important targeting factors. For example you can now target specific locations, age groups, users interests and much more.
In fact we have never been more spoiled when it comes to specific customer targeting.
We can can reach billions of people via Twitter, LinkedIn, Google Adwords, Facebook and Instagram. For a fraction of a cost of traditional media adverting.
What else I love about Pay Per Click marketing is the ability to quickly adjust budgets, keywords, targeting, adverts and so on. This is not possible with SEO! Any changes to your SEO tactics will take days, weeks or even months to show any results. But it does not mean these results will go in your favour.
How much does Pay Per Click marketing cost?
It can cost you as low as £5 to £1000s per day. It all depends on your budget, market and how quickly you want to scale your business. The entry into pay per click marketing is low. However, many business owners either don’t understand it or don’t like to spend money on marketing.
Yet they are happy to spend £1000’s on SEO without any promise of return on investment.
That is me done for today..
